The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 1259
Evelyn cast a worried glance at Callum’s leg, and then to his hands, sighing with a mix of regret and apology, “Your leg was
broken by Lysander’s bodyguard, right? You were just trying to help us out, and look what happened to you.”
“Don’t talk like that,” Callum gently chided her, “It’s not on you. Plus, I wanted to help, you didn’t twist my arm. My leg might be
busted, but it’ll heal in a few months. So don’t worry.” Callum’s demeanor was always so mild and easygoing, making him
incredibly comforting and pleasant to be around.
Here he was, the one who got hurt, and yet he’s the one offering comfort.
Compared to Lysander, it was like seeing the stark contrast between benevolence and cruelty.
Just yesterday, Thalassa had accidentally knocked over a prop, nearly hitting Lysander, and he immediately suspected her of
harboring a grudge.
No matter how she explained, he wouldn’t buy it.
But with Callum, whose leg and wrist were clearly injured because of Thalassa, he was still full of kindness, counseling them, not
wanting them to blame themselves.
That was the difference between people.
“Mr. Gordon, you really are one of the good ones,” Evelyn marveled with gratitude.
Callum’s warm smile spread across his face as he looked at Thalassa and asked, “What brings you two here, then?”

“I was just showing my mom around, doing the whole tourist thing. Never imagined we’d bump into you as soon as we landed.
It’s a small world, isn’t it?” Thalassa remarked.
The last thing she expected was to encounter a familiar face in this place.
“Sure it is a small world. Feels like fate,” Callum agreed, then as if something struck him, he asked, “Where are you staying? I’m
over at that hotel.” He pointed to a hotel not too far from the artificial lake.
Thalassa was surprised, “Really? We’re staying there, too.’
Who would’ve thought, without any prior planning, they’d run into each other and end up at the same hotel?
Callum chuckled, “We must be cosmically linked. Hey, you haven’t had lunch yet, have you? There’s this diner nearby, let’s go
grab some grub together.”
Thalassa hesitated for a moment, recalling how the last time she went to eat with Callum, Lysander had shown up and crushed
Callum’s wrist.

Chapter 1259
She was practically haunted by the fear of Lysander.
“Scared Lysander might show up again? Thalassa, this is Eldoria, not Starhaven.” Callum grinned at her, gently reminding her.
He saw right through Thalassa’s hesitation.
Meeting his smiling eyes, Thalassa felt a twinge of embarrassment. Her panic over Lysander was all too evident.
To any observant person, it was clear what she was worried about.
But Callum was right. This was Eldoria, not Starhaven. Lysander couldn’t possibly show up here, could he?
She and her mom hadn’t had lunch yet, and since chance encounters like this didn’t happen every day, why not share a meal?

“Alright, let’s go,” Thalassa agreed. “This time it’s on me.”
Callum laughed, “You should’ve treated me to a meal ages ago.”
He spoke lightheartedly, putting no pressure on Thalassa, as if they were old friends.
As Thalassa relaxed, she joked back, “You should’ve just said so sooner. I can be a bit dense. If you don’t spell it out, I’ll never
catch on.”
“Like how I have a crush on you and you never noticed?” Callum threw out suddenly, in a teasing tone.
It was a playful remark, but it packed quite the punch.
