Chapter 716
Thalassa was deep in her slumber when the bed suddenly dipped. A creature had hopped on and was seemingly full of
excitement as they pressed down on her.
Thalassa was jolted awake, making her breath hitch.
Next thing, something was breathing next to her cheek, carrying a sweet scent of milk.
“Mommy, the sun’s up and shining.” A small voice echoed in her ear. It was just loud enough to shake the heavens.
The hot breath tickled her ear, causing Thalassa to squirm and shrink her neck away.
After opening her eyes, she saw Elowen sprawled on her. The girl’s petite, chubby figure and innocent face looked round and
adorable. Her sparkling eyes were full of excitement as she looked at Thalassa, like a little sprite.
Thalassa could hardly breathe under her weight, but her heart was warm.
This was her sweet burden.
“Dad, time to rise and shine. You’re burning daylight.” On the other side, Dorian was sprawled across Lysander, and his small
hand gently patted his cheek.
Lysander’s eyes snapped open. His ice-cold stare made the temperature in the room drop instantly.
Thalassa, startled, immediately widened her eyes. All her sleepiness was gone.
Did Dorian just pat Lysander’s face? What if that angered him?
No one could pat Lysander’s face.
“If you two get down, I’ll get up.” Thalassa quickly intervened, fearing that the kids might further irritate Lysander.
Elowen obediently jumped off the bed, but Dorian stayed on Lysander as his innocent/eyes shifted curiously towards Thalassa.
If he didn’t come down soon, Lysander might spank him. Thalassa was very worried for him.
She tried to sit up to get Dorian, but a sharp pain shot through her waist. Wincing, she fell back onto the bed, causing the blanket
to slip slightly and reveal her collarbone.
“Mommy, why are there so many red marks on you? Did Dad bite you?” Elowen asked curiously as she saw the red blotches on
Thalassa’s exposed shoulder.
Thalassa’s heart jumped. She quickly pulled the blanket up to cover herself. Her eyes were anxiously darting around the room as
she explained, “No, it’s just an allergic reaction.”
As she was panicking, Lysander sat up, making Dorian roll off him and land on the floor.
“Owie!” He whimpered.
Elowen quickly ran over to help Dorian up. “Don’t cry, brother. I’ll make it better.” She said as she gently rubbed his bottom.
“Does it still hurt?”
“Nuh-uh, it’s gone.” Dorian nodded.
Thalassa felt relieved after watching the comforting display from her two kids. This was how she usually comforted them when
they fell. It was touching to see them comforting each other.
“Wow, Dad, did a cat scratch you? Why are there claw marks on you?” Elowen asked in surprise. Her large, sparkling eyes
widened as she pointed at Lysander’s chest.
Elowen’s question drew Thalassa’s attention. She glanced at Lysander, who was sitting there with his broad shoulders and
narrow waist. His physique was perfect to the extreme.
His solid abs were eye-catching, well-defined, and sexy. They radiated a great masculine charm. On his strong chest, on the left
side, were three red scratch marks. They were obvious signs of a struggle.
Seeing this, Thalassa’s breath hitched. She quickly averted her gaze, refusing to look at him.
His perfect body, coupled with those scratch marks, were a stark reminder of last night’s passion.
Those scratches were clearly her doing.
Thalassa suddenly felt her face heat up.
Lysander looked down at the scratches on his body and naturally pulled out the blanket to cover them. His deep voice echoed
coldly in the room. “Yeah, a cat scratched me. I disciplined the cat yesterday, You two should behave too, or you might get
disciplined as well, got it?”
