The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 720
Lysander was soothing the children, promising them that no harm would come their way anymore. They could enjoy their meals
without fear of being snatched away by a villain.
He also cautioned them. He used Faye as a cautionary tale of someone who would do anything to achieve her goals.
Sophia’s innocent eyes welled up with tears, so Lysander gently wiped them away with a tissue. “Don’t cry, sweetie. Eat your
meal, and then we’ll play.”
It was a Saturday. There was no school.
Sophia perked up at the thought of playing and nodded her tiny head in agreement.
Elowen, a bit braver than Sophia, patted her chest in relief. “Phew, I’m tough. No way I’d get scared.”
Thalassa couldn’t help but chuckle at Elowen.
What did bravery have to do with lung capacity?
But children’s logic was often amusingly flawed.
Seeing the children lively again after their scare lightened Thalassa’s mood.
She understood then why Lysander chose to teach them such lessons.
Morals and values were important to instill from a young age. If neglected, it could be too late, like with Faye.
Perhaps she had been too indulgent before.
It seemed that children needed a strong father figure to guide them. Lysander could instill in them a confidence that could make
them shine brightly.
After their meal, Thalassa and the children played in the yard while Lysander went off to work.
Though it was Saturday, he seemed to be swamped with work.

Thalassa figured he was busy with the acquisition of all the Brennan family businesses. After all, acquiring such a large
corporation like the Brennan Group required a lot of follow-up work.
Dorian and Atticus were playing soccer. They chased the ball under the sun as their laughter echoed like cheerful birdsong.
Elowen and Sophia were gathering flowers while playing house with their small baskets.
The garden was well-tended by Fitch and the servants, so the flowers were blooming brightly.
The girls were delighted. They were even wearing the flowers like crowns as they giggled at each other.
Thalassa watched from a shaded spot nearby as her heart filled with warmth at their happiness.
This was what happiness felt like.
On Monday, Thalassa returned to work.
Ethan, her boss, greeted her with concern. “Back so soon, Thalassa? You didn’t want to take some more time off?”
Thalassa simply smiled. “It’s not a good look to sit at home and collect a paycheck, is it? I’d feel better being here and working
hard.”
Ethan chuckled at her response. “You’re quite a character, Thalassa. No wonder Lysander is so smitten with you.”
Thalassa fell silent.
She wondered if there was any topic that wouldn’t link her to Lysander.
Lysander was smitten with her?
