The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 773
Betty had always fancied Ethan. She was seeking every opportunity to get closer to him and hoping to be with him.
Her casual comment had somehow ruffled Betty’s feathers, making Betty believe she was trying to steal Ethan away.
Thalassa calmly responded, “Don’t worry, appropriate deductions will still be made from my salary. My comment yesterday was
merely to lighten the mood and steer the focus away from me. Ethan knows it was all in jest, so why do you take it seriously?”
Thalassa tried to clear the misunderstanding with Betty. They shared an office, and any discord would make their working
environment uncomfortable. She was just trying to maintain peace for the sake of future cooperation.
“If Ethan didn’t take it seriously, then why did he fire Jason first thing this morning?” Betty, who had been managing to keep her
emotions under control, now completely lost it and retorted angrily at Thalassa.
Thalassa looked at her surprisingly, “Jason got fired?”
“Don’t play innocent. Nobody knows what you said in front of Ethan.” Betty shot her a sideways glance, turned her back and
started working. She didn’t want to engage any further with Thalassa.
No matter how much resentment and grievance she had, she couldn’t do anything to Thalassa.
She wasn’t a match to the cunning girl Thalassa.
Just a couple of days ago, she managed to get rid of Anna from the secretarial department, and less than two months later
Jason from the procurement department.
It was obvious that Ethan was siding with her.
And she was still claiming she had no relationship with Ethan. Nobody would believe her words!
Betty was now convinced that there was something fishy between Thalassa and Ethan.
She had been pining for Ethan for so long without even the slightest touch, yet Thalassa...
Thalassa was both shocked and incredulous; she really didn’t expect that Jason would be fired.
Was it Ethan’s decision or was it Lysander’s idea?

Lysander saw a coffee stain on her shirt. When he asked about it, she casually said it was an accident by her colleague. The
next day, Anna was fired.
And yesterday, Jason confessed his feelings to her and even pulled and shoved her on the street. Lysander happened to see
that scene. Maybe Lysander told Ethan to fire Jason?
Thalassa recalled Lysander asking her how she felt about being pursued by someone.
She connected that with his icy attitude towards Jason last night, then concluded that Lysander must have felt that Jason was
encroaching on his territory and decided to teach him a lesson.
Lysander’s possessiveness was truly frightening.
At eleven in the morning.
Ethan called Thalassa and Betty into his office and held a mini-meeting with them.
“This is our collaboration information with Leopold. Both of you can go over it. Thalassa, you need to monitor the progress of
mobile production at Leossa Electronics for the next couple of days.” Ethan tossed two sets of documents in front of Thalassa
and Betty, delegating the task to Thalassa.
“Mr. Ethan, what about me? What do I need to do?” Betty asked expectantly.
“I’m going to Ocean City for a meeting in the next couple of days, Betty, you’re coming with me, in charge of booking hotels and
arranging the itinerary.” Ethan said.
Hearing that she could go on a business trip with Ethan again, Betty was over the moon.
“Sure, Mr. Ethan.” She responded as she cast a triumphant glance at Thalassa.
Ethan always took her on business trips, which meant she still had a chance! She had to learn from Thalassa, be more pleasant
and try to win over Ethan sooper.
Thalassa didn’t even look at her. She was engrossed in reading the documents
“Isn’t this delivery timeline in a week a bit tight?” Thalassa noticed an unreasonable clause.

“No worries, Leossa Electronics can rush it. Their 24-hour operating system can produce three times the output of other
factories.”
Ethan answered her question.
Thalassa nodded.
“By the way, Leopold is coming to pay the deposit tomorrow. Thalassa, you’re in charge of hosting him.” Ethan instructed.
Thalassa’s heart sank a little.
