The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 782
Thalassa looked at Betty, whose hand was trembling in mid-air. The necklace hanging from her fingers swayed with her quakes.
A surge of anger filled Thalassa’s heart as she thought of Betty’s attempt to harm her children. Gently, she addressed her
children, “Stay with your dad for a moment, darlings. I need to have a word with this lady here. Promise me you won’t wander off,
alright?”
The children obediently nodded as Thalassa rose from her seat. In an instant, her gentle demeanor was replaced by a stern one.
She approached Betty, glanced at the necklace, and instead of snatching it away. She extended her hand, allowing the chain to
fall in her palm. She scrutinized it for a moment before turning her gaze back to Betty.
“You do realize this necklace is one of a kind, yet you claimed it’s yours. If I were to call the police, you’d be charged with theft,
wouldn’t you?”
Betty looked panicked, her forehead glistening with tiny beads of sweat. Her face was contorted in agony.
“Thalassa, I made a mistake. I’m sorry,” Betty pleaded, her voice filled with desperation. “I found it in the restroom. I should have
returned it to you. I shouldn’t have tried to sell it. I was blinded by greed. Please, forgive me this once. The necklace is yours,
here, take it...” Betty hurriedly shoved the necklace into Thalassa’s hands, her movements urgent, as if passing on a hot potato.
Ahead, Lysander’s intimidating presence still loomed over her, his earlier kick not just landing on her body but also crushing her
spirit, leaving her terrified.
She had not expected that Thalassa’s backup would be Lysander!
Had she known earlier, she would never have dared to cross Thalassa.
She had always assumed Thalassa had cunningly ensnared Ethan, hence her relentless jealousy and constant clashes with
Thalassa. She had even planned to sell Thalassa’s necklace for some quick cash, thinking no one would notice.
Thalassa held the necklace in her hand, her eyes sternly fixed on Betty, “What were you planning to do to my children?
Apologize to them right now and I might consider forgiving you.”
“Alright, alright, I apologize! I apologize...” Betty nodded hurriedly, without any hesitation.

No wonder Thalassa was always able to secure contracts with the Sinclair Group. So she was in a relationship with Lysander,
and they even had children!
The so-called executive of the Sinclair Group she knew was no minor figure, but Lysander himself!
Now, Betty finally understood how narrow her perspective had been, and how blind she was!
Just now, she was wondering whose children these were, who were so sure the necklace belonged to their mother.
How could she not have thought that Thalassa was their mother?
Betty clutched her aching belly, hunching over as she approached Sophia..
Lysander stood beside Sophia, emanating a chilling aura that made Betty tremble involuntarily. Even her teeth were chattering.
She didn’t dare look directly at Lysander, fearing even the slightest contact with him.”
Betty hunched over in front of Sophia, who instinctively stepped back, frightened.
Betty, enduring her pain, grimaced at Sophia and said, “Little girl, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to speak harshly to you, and I should
have believed what you said. I made a mistake. I hope you can forgive me. You can hit me if you want.
As she reached out to grab Sophia’s hand, Lysander kicked her in the knee.
Betty’s knee buckled, and she fell onto it with a “thud”. The pain in her belly, coupled with the sudden jolt of her knee hitting the
ground, twisted Betty’s face in agony as sweat trickled down her forehead.
“An apology without kneeling down bears no sincerity,” Lysander’s cold voice echoed.
Terrified, Betty trembled uncontrollably, disregarding her own pain as she hurriedly knocked her head on the ground in front of
Sophia, continuously apologizing.
Sophia, frightened, sought refuge behind Lysander’s legs, clutching onto them timidly while stealing glances at Betty, who was
bowing to her.
Seeing Betty’s severe injuries and her continuous bowing, Thalassa finally felt a sense of relief.
She couldn’t bear to see her children being bullied.

If anyone dared to lay a finger on her children, she would fight tooth and nail against them!
And Betty had dared to hit Sophia!
