The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 798
Thalassa quickly walked to the elevator; Zephyr’s harsh words felt like a dagger stabbing her heart.
The cruelty of reality hurt so much.
Lysander had also told her that he wouldn’t marry her, warning her not to have any delusions about becoming part of the Sinclair
family.
Aside from wanting to give her children a complete home, she never thought about marrying Lysander.
After what he said, she didn’t even dare to dream about providing a complete home for her children. She was constantly
reminded of her status and position!
All she wanted was to live a normal life, go to work, do some shopping, watch some TV shows, and live each day without having
to panic.
But Lysander wouldn’t let her go. He kept dragging her into an abyss.
The people of the Sinclair family also wouldn’t let her go. They mocked and scorned her one by one, accusing her and hurting
her feelings.
Sometimes Thalassa felt she couldn’t bear it anymore, and was on the verge of a nervous breakdown, but then she would think
of her four lovely children and swallow all her pain and humiliation.
What was a little humiliation compared to losing her four little treasures?
She wanted to be there as her children grew up, showering them with all the motherly love she could give, until they were all
grown up and she could rest knowing they were okay.
At least, when they were grown up and looked back at their childhood, they wouldn’t feel any loss or that their mother didn’t want
them.
A happy, complete childhood could help them overcome anything that came their way in the future.
If they had a tough time when they grew up, they could always lean on the beautiful memories of their childhood to keep going.

Thalassa was waiting for the elevator when Ethan caught up with her. “Thalassa, wait for me!”
Thalassa turned around and saw Ethan approaching quickly. She held back her pain and managed a faint smile. “Mr. Ethan, are
you heading home too?”
Ethan looked at her with a playful glint in his eyes. “It’s just us here. You don’t have to hold your feelings. If you want to cry, just
let it out.”
Ethan found the hurtful words Amelia and Zephyr had said earlier hard to bear even as a bystander, let alone Thalassa who was
directly involved.
Seeing the sympathetic look on Ethan’s face, Thalassa suddenly laughed. “Mr. Ethan, we’re adults, do you really think I would
cry over a few harsh words? That’s not very dignified, is it?”
Ethan was taken aback for a moment before nodding and chuckling, “You’re right; adults aren’t supposed to shed tears easily.”
Just then, the elevator arrived. When the doors opened, a group of people, both men and women, were inside holding a red
banner that read, “Leopold’s employment caused a worker’s death. Compensate for my husband’s life!”
Seeing this, Thalassa and Ethan exchanged surprised looks.
The group of people stormed out of the elevator and headed straight for Leopold’s room.
Something was definitely off!
Thalassa didn’t take the elevator. Instead, she hurriedly followed the group, with Ethan trailing behind her.
“You can’t go in there!” Amelia, who had just stepped out of the room, saw the group with the banner trying to enter Leopold’s
room. She was visibly shaken and tried to block their path.
Zephyr also tried to stop them.
“Get out of the way! We need answers today! Leopold employed my husband and now he’s dead from an explosion! You owe
me my husband’s life!” A woman cried.
“My husband too! He died when working for Leopold! Leopold, you owe me my husband’s life!” Another woman, who initially
managed to keep her composure, also broke down crying.

Their relatives, who came to support them, also started to loudly demand justice and compensation.
Amelia and Zephyr tried to keep them from entering the room, fearing that they might harm Leopold if they got in.
