The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 797
Leopold desperately wanted to keep Thalassa close, but he was powerless. His eyes, filled with pain, pulled back from the door,
his teeth gritted as he endured the inner turmoil and anger.
His chest rose and fell gently as he turned to Amelia and Zephyr. “Mom, Grandpa, please leave. I want to sleep.”
He wouldn’t even risk hurting a single hair of Thalassa, yet his own family seemed intent on thrusting daggers into her heart at
every turn.
Seeing Thalassa in such distress, and being unable to do anything about it, Leopold felt a deep despair gnawing in his heart.
With that, he lay down.
“Easy, take it slow. Don’t strain the wound,” Amelia cautioned as she gently helped him down, fearful of his wounds reopening.
Leopold, his hand tethered to an IV drip, pushed Amelia away. “Please leave, I really need to rest.”
His rejection was clear. He didn’t want Amelia to touch him.
Seeing her son’s resistance, Amelia’s heart ached. Why couldn’t Leopold let Thalassa go? But there was nothing she could do.
“Then rest well. Your grandpa and I will leave. If you need anything, call the bodyguards outside, and they’ll get me right away,”
Amelia said, tears streaming down her face.
Leopold closed his eyes, ignoring her.
Amelia’s heartache deepened.
Zephyr contemplated for a moment before saying, “Take care of yourself. Don’t overthink.”
With that, he led the way out of the hospital room.
Initially, in consideration of Thalassa bearing Lysander’s four children, he and Sybil planned a wedding for Lysander to officially
marry Thalassa, providing the children with a complete family.
However, Thalassa’s mother suddenly arrived at the Sinclair’s house, and after a heated conversation with Sybil, Sybil tripped
over a servant’s broom and tragically passed away.

Zephyr’s beloved wife of several decades left him in an instant.
He was devastated, seeming to age ten years overnight. His once vibrant spirit dampened, his days filled with less hope.
Every morning when he woke up, out of habit, he would reach out to touch the bedside. Without Sybil’s warmth, it felt cold and
empty, igniting a heavy sense of loneliness in his heart.
He couldn’t forgive those who had caused Sybil’s death.
Whether it was Faye, who had bribed the housemaid to frame Evelyn and torment Sybil, or Robert, the housemaid who started it
all, or Evelyn, who had argued with Sybil, leading to her emotional instability.
Zephyr wouldn’t forgive any of them!
Faye was arrested, and Robert was thrown behind bars.
Evelyn, who had only had a minor dispute with Sybil and had helped Sophia up from a fall back then, wasn’t directly involved in
Sybil’s accident.
But if she hadn’t argued with Sybil, Sybil wouldn’t have been emotionally unsettled and might not have failed to avoid the broom
under her feet, causing her to stumble over the broom and meet her tragic end.
While Evelyn wasn’t legally responsible for Sybil’s death, Zephyr still despised her!
There was no way he’d let the daughter of the woman he despised marry into the Sinclair family!
23 EFEN
Thalassa hadn’t even married into the Sinclair family yet, and Evelyn was already coveting the Sinclair’s wealth, her attitude so
brazen. If Thalassa did marry into the Sinclair family, what then?
Zephyr wouldn’t allow another Belinda-like incident to occur!
