The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 852
Thalassa’s eyelashes quivered and her face instinctively recoiled.
Lysander’s movements stilled as a layer of icy chill cloaked his eyes, “Still not used to me yet?”
Thalassa avoided his gaze and dropped her eyelashes, “No, I’m just not feeling well. I’m not in the mood...”
Lysander’s deep gaze lingered on her for a while, but he didn’t insist. Instead, he pulled her into his embrace, holding her close
and saying nothing. “Sleep,” he commanded.
He knew she wasn’t emotionally well. He would give her time to completely let go.
Moments before, Thalassa had been tensely facing away from Lysander. His warm breath on the back of her neck made her feel
threatened.
Now, she was facing him and being wrapped in his arms. Her cheek nuzzled against his firm chest and could feel his steady and
powerful heartbeat. It turned out that she was somehow less afraid.
Her fatigue overcame her and she fell asleep quickly.
When Thalassa went to work, Ethan sent her to Leopold’s studio. The Crawley Group had a contract with Leopold’s studio, but
now that Leopold was gone, the contract needed to be renegotiated.
Thalassa arrived at the studio Leopold had created.
Her heart was heavy as she prepared to enter. It took several deep breaths before she could muster the courage to step inside.
She expected to find just a few people, but to her surprise, every workstation was filled. There was not a single truant employee:
Each one was diligently working, everything in order.
“Hello, who are you looking for?” A young woman approached and inquired politely.
Thalassa was pulled from her thoughts by his question, “This is Leopold’s studio, right?”
She hadn’t gone to the wrong place, had she?
Leopold was dead, but his studio was running smoothly. With the boss gone, who were these employees working for?

“Yes, this is the studio Mr. Sinclair founded. I was Mr. Sinclair’s assistant in his lifetime. You can call me Lily,” the woman
responded.
She lowered his gaze and carried a hint of sorrow in her voice, “Poor Mr. Sinclair. No one expected him to leave us so suddenly.
Just the day before the accident, he had promised the families of those two workers that he would find a solution from the
Sinclair Group. But he died before he could get an
answer.”
Lily was the colleague who had been helping Leopold deal with the victims’ families. She was also Leopold’s assistant.
Thalassa asked, “You’re saying Leopold had a confrontation with the families of the two workers who died in the explosion the
day before he died?” Lily confirmed her question, “Yes, we were all angry but Mr. Sinclair stayed calm and promised to get an
answer and compensation from the Sinclair Group. How could he suddenly jump off a building? I just can’t understand...”
Thalassa was left with a huge doubt. Leopold had been determined to get an answer for the workers’ families and he even
promised as much. Why would he kill himself before he could fulfill his promise?
It didn’t make sense.
“Lily, come and see this. The Sinclair Group has released a statement. The explosion case has been solved and a conclusion
has been reached, Amelia suddenly emerged from the manager’s office, her phone in her hand and excitement on her face.
Lily hurried over.
Seeing Amelia, Thalassa finally understood why Leopold’s studio was still running smoothly after his death. Amelia’had been
managing things in his stead.
Thalassa also approached, joining Lily to see what was on Amelia’s phone.
