The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 856
“I get it, now let me go!” Thalassa retorted, turning her cheek away to avoid his hand, preferring to stare out of the car window
instead.
Lysander huffed in response, saying nothing more. His tall frame reclined in the car seat as he commanded gruffly, “Drive!”
The driver, trembling slightly, started the car and drove off at his command.
Throughout the journey, Thalassa remained focused on the view outside the window. She was seemingly absorbed by the
scenery but in reality, she didn’t really take anything into her eyes.
Lysander’s aura was icy cold; the chillness was formed invisibly and made the atmosphere oppressively silent.
Thalassa sat rigidly and her breaths came out in careful and tense gasps.
Finally, they arrived at the entrance of Crawley Electronics. As soon as the car stopped, Thalassa practically fled, barely waiting
for the door to fully open before she was out and away.
“I’ll pick you up this afternoon!” Lysander’s domineering voice echoed behind her.
Thalassa paused for a moment, her back stiffening. Without turning or responding, she walked off towards the company building.
Lysander was insisting on picking her up and intending to take her to Royal Estates. Thalassa knew she had no chance of
refusing him.
Watching Thalassa disappear into the company building, Lysander instructed, “Drive.”
The driver glanced at him nervously through the rear-view mirror before cautiously asking, “Mr. Sinclair, should we head to the
hospital?”
“Why would we need to go there?” Lysander’s tone was cold.
“Your hand...” the driver turned around to glance at the bloodied back of Lysander’s hand.
The driver had noticed Lysander’s injury when he first got into the car, but with Thalassa present and the apparent tension
between them, he hadn’t felt it was his place to say anything.

Lysander barely glanced at the now dried blood staining his hand, “Just drive to the office.”
“Very well, Mr. Sinclair.” The driver, although still worried, knew better than to question Lysander’s orders.
The rest of the afternoon was a blur for Thalassa. She was too preoccupied to focus on work.
Leopold’s death had dealt a heavy blow to her, but learning of Lysander’s involvement was the icing on the cake.
Her mind was a whirl of chaos and confusion. She had no idea what to do next.
As she sat in her office and lost in thought, Hertha called.
Thalassa, you must be almost done for the day. How about I pick you up and we head to the pub for a bit of fun? It’ll be a good
chance to relax,” Hertha’s cheerful voice rang from the other end.
Thalassa was about to decline because she recalled that Lysander said he would pick her up after work. She was instinctively
afraid to go against his words.
Before the rejection was coming out of her throat, she found herself replying, “Alright, I’m almost done here. You can come over
now if you are free.” “Great, I’m already on my way. See you soon!” Hertha’s voice was light and carefree as she ended the call.
Thalassa began packing up her things, preparing to leave for the day.
Suddenly, her phone rang. She looked down to see Lysander’s name flashing on the screen. A wave of pressure hit her instantly.
It was just a phone call, but it felt as though Lysander was right there in front of her with his intimidating presence.
Thalassa’s heart tightened as she stared at the phone, hesitating to pick it up. But finally, she had to answer.
“How much longer?” came Lysander’s deep voice from the other end.
Was he coming to pick her up already?
