Chapter 870
Charlotte’s voice rang out loud and clear, instantly drawing the attention of many.
Amelia and Payton came over.
Today’s party was hosted by the Sinclair family, with Amelia and Payton primarily welcoming guests and maintaining order.
At the sign of trouble, they immediately came over to see what happened.
“What’s going on?” Amelia glanced at Thalassa, directing her inquiry towards Charlotte.
Charlotte was gripping Thalassa’s wrist tightly, her face fierce as she said, “Amelia, she stole my bracelet. It was on my wrist just
a moment ago, and now it’s gone after she tugged at my hand.”
Thalassa, upon hearing this blatant accusation, forcefully shook off Charlotte’s grip and retorted, “You were the one who grabbed
my hand. When did I ever tug at yours?”
“You’re still denying it! The bracelet must be on you. If we search you and find it, then everything will be clear!”
Charlotte glared at Thalassa, her attitude uncompromising, insisting that Thalassa was the thief.
At this point, everyone at the party had gathered around, including Zephyr, Ethan, and Callum.
Everyone looked at Thalassa with curiosity and suspicion.
Charlotte was accusing her of theft and even demanding a search. If Charlotte didn’t have any evidence, would she be so bold
and adamant in claiming Thalassa was the thief?
Everyone was looking at Thalassa as if she were really a thief.
Thalassa suddenly felt submerged in an ocean of gazes, leaving her exposed and unnerved, sending shivers down her spine.
Taking a step back, Thalassa said defensively, “You have no right to search me! You said I took the bracelet, but where’s your
proof?”
“Proof? I have a witness!” Charlotte shot a look at Susan and said, “You were there. You saw her take my bracelet.”
Thalassa instantly looked at Susan, unsure of how she would respond.
Just when she was feeling anxious, Susan’s expression was firm as she confirmed, “Yes, I saw it. Thalassa took Charlotte’s
bracelet and quickly put it in her pocket.”
She pointed at Thalassa’s heart–shaped pocket on her waist, making her accusation clear.
Thalassa was stunned, looking down at her pocket. It was indeed bulging, and the thin fabric even outlined the shape of a
bracelet.
Her heart raced, her scalp tingling. There was indeed a bracelet in her pocket, but when did it get there?
She immediately thought back to when Susan had suddenly come close to her, hooking her arm around her waist.
It must have been then, when the bracelet was slipped into her pocket...
This was a trap set by Charlotte and Susan!
“Charlotte Ravensong, I believe there must be a misunderstanding. Ms. Everhart is my secretary, and I assure you, she would
never steal. Ethan spoke up, defending Thalassa.
Mr. Ethan, she is your secretary, not your woman. You can’t vouch for her character. Look at her pocket, there’s a bracelet in it!”
Charlotte retorted, quickly stepping towards Thalassa and pulling the bracelet from her pocket.
Thalassa drew back, but it was already too late.
Charlotte held the bracelet up high for everyone to see, loudly proclaiming, “Look, everyone, this is my bracelet Amelia gave it to
me this morning. It’s a family heirloom passed down to the next daughter–in–law of the Sinclair family. Given my engagement to
Lysander Zephyr suggested that Amelia pass it on to me. But who would have thought that Thalassa would try to steal it? Is
Thalassa trying to steal the bracelet, or the identity as Lysander’s wife? Her ambitions are clear.
With the evidence and stolen bracelet right here, Thalassa, what do you have to say for yourself? Amelia looked at Thalassa
anger and disgust.
