The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 254
“But it looks like Mr. Youngblood treats you well. The difficult times have passed, and now things are looking up for you,” Amelia
said.
Was everything looking better? Maybe. Now, her relationship with Jon seemed to have improved, making her feel like she had
returned to the cozy times they once shared in the rental home.
No, there was something different. Back then, she regarded him as her younger brother, as family. However, at that moment, she
saw him as a lover, perhaps even someone she would spend her life with.
“Things have finally turned around for you too, Ms. Haab. From now on, Aiden can hear and speak. And soon, he can study and
make friends just like any other child,” Rosalie responded.
Amelia replied, “Yes, Aiden is my everything. As long as he’s fine, I don’t mind enduring hardships.” As Amelia said that, she
looked at Rosalie and smiled. “You haven’t become a mother yet. When you become one in the future, you’ll understand that a
mother can sacrifice everything for her child.”
“Becoming a mother... Would I have the chance to become a mother in this lifetime?” Rosalie wondered. She could not help but
look down at her flat abdomen.
On the way back from the hospital, Rosalie thought about the day she had slept with Jonathan. Besides, there were no
protective measures taken.
She chuckled instantly. What was she thinking? Was she afraid of getting pregnant?
Her current condition made it impossible for her to conceive. So, whether they used protection or not was meaningless.
Moreover, if she were to become pregnant, it would be precisely what she wanted. After all, she could become a mother. After
Rosalie returned to the Youngblood residence, she realized it was still early, and Jonathan was not home yet. Rosalie was about
to check her phone for news when it rang. The caller ID showed that it was Lillian.
As soon as Rosalie answered the phone, Lillian’s voice came from the other end of the line. “Rosalie, can you... Um... Can you
come to the police station to bail me out?”

Rosalie was almost choked by her saliva after hearing that. Suddenly, she got up from the couch and asked anxiously, “What
happened? Are you at the police station now?”
“Um. Something happened. It’s a long story. I’m at the police station and don’t want to alarm my parents. You know how they are
at their age. They’ll make a fuss.” Lillian’s voice conveyed a pronounced sense of embarrassment.
“Okay, I’ll be right there. Which police station are you at?” Rosalie asked.
After Lillian provided the address of the police station, Rosalie quickly asked Jarvis to send her there.
When she arrived at the police station, Rosalie ran in. After explaining the situation to the police, she was directed to one of
the rooms.
Once Rosalie entered the room, she saw her best friend, Lillian, seated on one side of a large table. On the other side were a
man and a woman. The woman appeared to be around 25 or 26 years old, while the man seemed to be in his early 30s.
The man was silent and remained curled up in a corner. On the other hand, the young woman exchanged hostile glances with
Lillian.
“Well, well, so you called for help huh?” the woman said sarcastically as soon as she saw Rosalie.
Rosalie frowned and looked at Lillian. “Lillian, what’s going on?”
“Just ignore her,” Lillian replied.
However, as if a gunpowder barrel had ignited, the young woman immediately shouted, “What’s the matter? Are you too
embarrassed to admit that you seduced my boyfriend? If I hadn’t caught you red-handed, were you planning to strip naked and
get into my boyfriend’s bed?”
In an instant, Lillian glared at her and retorted, “Seduce? Do you think I’d be interested in a man like him? What are you even
thinking? All you ever do is point fingers at others. Have you ever considered that the real issue is your boyfriend?”
“I saw it with my own eyes. Are you still trying to deny it?” the young woman snapped.
“You saw it with your own eyes? You must be delusional then!” Lillian barked while pointing at the cowering man. “Listen, I won’t
even give him a second glance even if you put someone like him before me. Besides, I have a boyfriend who’s much better than
him. Why would I ever be interested in him? Is he made of gold or money?”

Yet the young woman responded mockingly, “You don’t have a boyfriend. You covet someone else’s boyfriend! How dare you act
innocent? Who would believe what you just said?”
Lillian was so furious that she felt like slapping some sense into the woman. She could not help but curse inwardly, “What the
hell is her brain made of? How can she be this delusional? It’s fine if she thinks her boyfriend is a treasure, but how could she
think everyone sees him like she does?”
“I believe her! I’ve met Lillian’s boyfriend. Besides, do you have any evidence to prove that she behaved improperly with your
boyfriend? Otherwise, we can sue you for defamation,” Rosalie said while looking at the young woman before her.
The young woman, Jade Leroy, snorted. “I saw it with my own eyes. How can it be fake?”
“Really? What exactly did you see then?” Rosalie countered.
Jade answered, “I saw her and my boyfriend going to the exit passage at the stairs to chat secretly.”
“If it were an exit passage, people would always pass by, so it’s definitely not a secret chat. It could only be regarded as a
conversation. Do you have other substantive evidence? For example, video or audio proof to show that my friend did engage in
improper behavior with your boyfriend? Otherwise, you’re still making false accusations,” Rosalie calmly responded.
Upon hearing her words, Jade’s expression instantly turned grim. Rosalie’s words were like a direct slap on her face. She
refuted, “You and Lillian are the same, right? You must be seducing people everywhere.”
Hearing that, Lillian rolled up her sleeves and was about to fight Jade. “Jade Leroy, you bitch! You can insult me, but how dare
you go after my friend? Damn it! Even if I have to spend the night in detention, I’ll still beat you!”
Seeing Lillian was about to charge at her, Jade was frightened and quickly hid behind her boyfriend. Rosalie quickly pulled
Lillian, and the police officer in the room, acting as the mediator, hurriedly urged both sides to calm down.
After that, Rosalie finally got a rough understanding of the situation. Basically, the two women had fought with each other
because of a man, resulting in injuries. Lillian had planned to let it go, but Jade insisted on pressing charges. Ultimately, they had
to go to the police station and required bail.
Even though Jade’s boyfriend was involved in the initial altercation, he did not participate in the fight. Hence, he could bail Jade
out. As for Lillian, Rosalie bailed her out.
