The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 423
“No! No! One day, I will completely replace Rosalie. I will become the one standing beside him and laughing to the end!” Fiona
thought.
Rosalie took the bus and went back to her rental home. Her legs hurt so much that she almost couldn’t lift them took out two
pieces of medicinal plasters from the medicine box and pasted them on her knees.
After a while, she felt heat on her knees, and the pain began to dissipate. Then she breathed a sigh of relief.
It was like she had fought a battle tonight. She was so tired that her back was soaked with sweat.
It seemed that her joints, even in summer, should not stay in an air-conditioned place for too long!
1. She
It was an accident to meet Calvin and Fiona tonight. When she left, Calvin grabbed her arm and asked Jonathan, but she felt her
heart hurt again.
If it were in the past, Jon would definitely accompany her to somewhere like a nightclub.
Kayden wouldn’t have the courage to let her stand for so long.
And if her knee was hurting, Jon would hold her carefully and rub her knees with his hand...
But these would never happen now!
The sweeter and warmer the past was, the more cruel it would make the present.
Her Jon was gone!
Rosalie had thought that what happened at the nightclub was over. However, when she came back from work the next day, she
saw Calvin waiting for her at her front door.
Rosalie paused with surprise in her eyes.
“You live here now?” Calvin asked.

“Yeah,” she replied shortly. She didn’t understand why Calvin was there.
Since Calvin knew that this was her current residence, he must have checked some basic information about her.
“I’m curious why you’re renting a house in such a place. Don’t you live in the Youngblood residence? How could Jonathan let you
live here?” he said.
Although he told himself not to care about her, after what happened at the nightclub, he asked someone to check on her recent
situation. That was when he found out that she was working as an assistant in a law firm and living in such a messy place.
It seemed inconceivable to him. If it was her insistence to be an assistant at the law firm, how could Jonathan allow her to move
out of the Youngblood residence and live in such a place?
Jonathan clearly cared about her very much. Even for her, he could fight against the Gunner family. Otherwise, how could he let
go of her again and again?
This situation was completely beyond his expectations.
And he didn’t choose to ask Jonathan, but came to find her!
Calvin stared at Rosalie’s delicate face, which he once thought looked like the little girl he had been looking for if she had
grown up.
He wondered if he had come here just to look at her.
Then, Calvin laughed. He had no feelings for her anymore and only came here because he was curious and wanted to make
sure of something.
Rosalie bit her lip and met Calvin’s eyes. “Jonathan and I have broken up, so what’s strange about me living here now?”
“Broken up?” Calvin was shocked.
There were a few things that surprised him, but now he was really surprised!
How could Jonathan, a man who didn’t even allow others to have the slightest of intentions toward Rosalie, break up her?
with

Calvin had known Jonathan for many years. Naturally, he knew Jonathan was cold and never interested in women, with Rosalie
being the only exception.
People like Jonathan didn’t fall in love often, but that love would last forever once they did.
But now, there was no forever. Instead, they had broken up.
“Why did you break up?” Calvin stepped toward her and asked.
“This is my personal business. I don’t think I have the obligation to tell you, Mr. Gunner.” Rosalie took two steps back and
widened the distance between them. “If there’s nothing else, I want to go back to my house and rest.”
She took out the key, opened the door of her rental house, went straight into the house, and then closed the door.
Calvin was left alone, standing outside the house in a daze.
Calvin stared at the closed door. Somehow, his heart twitched painfully when he saw her calm expression when she mentioned
the breakup with Jonathan.
Her calmness seemed to be suppressing a lot of her pain.
Calvin shouldn’t be concerned about her, but he somehow still was!
Calvin slowly raised his hand and pressed it against his heart.
His heart was beating faster than usual.
Alan didn’t expect Jonathan and Calvin to join him today.
“What brings you two here today? Don’t you two usually dislike coming here? How about I go find someone else, and we play a
few rounds of poker?” Alan joked.
Calvin raised his eyes and looked at Jonathan, “I’m here for him.”
“Well, that’s smart of you to come here. Jonathan’s here today on a rare occasion.” As Alan spoke, he took out the glasses and
wine, poured each of them a glass of wine, and then picked up his own glass and sipped it lightly.
The wine was excellent and worth the 100 thousand dollars.

Jonathan looked at Calvin and asked, “Are you looking for me?”
“I just want to make sure. Are you and Rosalie really broken up?” Calvin asked.
In an instant, his eyes narrowed as a cold glint flashed across them.
Alan, who was tasting the wine, spat out half a mouthful of it before he could swallow it.
“Broken up?” Alan’s voice was high-pitched.
“So what if we are?” Jonathan’s cold voice sounded, and the air pressure in the whole room seemed to have dropped several
degrees
“I’m curious. How could you bear to break up with her?” Calvin said.
Jonathan’s expression was already cold. “If it weren’t for you, we might still be together!” he thought.
“What the hell do you know?” Jonathan said coldly.
Calvin smiled lightly. “I don’t, and that’s why I asked.”
But the next moment, Jonathan, who had been sitting on the couch, suddenly got up and grabbed Calvin’s neck. He pressed
Calvin directly to the corner of the wall with his eyes full of anger. “What the hell do you know?”
