The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Amelia continued, "Also, you said my sister has been using Steve and has trampled on his self-esteem. You even claim that my
family looks down on him. This is all baseless. If what you said were true, my parents would never agree to my relationship with
Steve. My father would not even recognize him as his godson."
The Lovett's were shocked. 'Godson?! When did this happen? Why had Steve never mentioned it before?'
Every time Hunter thought about this, he felt envy, jealousy, and resentment bubbling up inside him. For all these years, he had
been sucking up to the rich and powerful, only to let this little brat get the upper hand in the end.
If Hunter had known he would end up in this situation, he should have worked hard to curry favor with the Thompson family from
the start. Perhaps then, he would be Wyatt's son-in-law, or even the head of the legal department at KS Group, and Steve would
be nothing!
Hunter wanted to be held in high esteem wherever he went.
"But if you look down on me because of my mom being my dad's third wife, then I can only feel regret and disappointment for
your shallow and materialistic thoughts."
Amelia's usually gentle and delicate features suddenly hardened, her soft tone turning cold and firm.
"I cannot change my background, nor do I want to. I have never felt ashamed of my mother. On the contrary my mother has
endured hardships to reach where she is today. The suffering she has endured is something you will never understand or
imagine. My mother has always been my pride. However, I won't blame you for your poor treatment and mockery because you
are Steve's mother."
Chelsea's heart suddenly tightened. A hot flush of shame rushed to her cheeks, as she felt like she had been slapped in the face
by Amelia.
"But I hope this is the last time I hear this from you," Amelia said firmly, her gaze meeting Steven's without fear, her beauty
undiminished.
Steven stared back at her, his heart pounding wildly in his chest. Amelia used to hide behind Bella, gentle and soft-spoken like a
little white rabbit. But now, Amelia had grown up in an instant, breaking free from her shell. She was stunning and confident,
even bearing a hint of Bella's demeanor.
He thought, 'No, my beloved Amelia is unique!'

Neil watched his wife struggle to respond and was rendered speechless. Firstly, he could not stoop so low to argue with a little
girl. It was undignified. Secondly, his wife's words were indeed harsh. Anyone in Amelia's position would retaliate.
Chelsea trembled, her lips quivering. Her authoritative aura crumbled in an instant. "Ms. Amelia, your words imply that our Lovett
family can't recognize your true worth, as if we're all blind!"
Hunter couldn't resist fanning the flames. He sneered before plunging the knife into Amelia's wounds.
"My mother is ill. She just recovered from a near-death experience, and I thought you came to visit. Instead, you have come to
vent your anger. Although our Lovett family may not compare to your Thompson family, we are still a respectable family. We
won't allow girls with questionable morals into our home. Isn't that reasonable?"
"You... Who are you talking about?!" Steven clenched his fists, no longer willing to mince words. He wanted to throttle Hunter.
"The incident with Charles, of course. Don't think that just because he's dead, everyone has forgotten about it. You claim you
were forced, but who knows the truth?" Hunter's words stabbed Amelia like a dagger to her heart, causing her to stagger back in
agony.
Hunter's actions were simply despicable, exposing Amelia's deepest and most painful scar.
