The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

The unbearable memories of that tragic night surged back like a flood, drowning her in pain so intense she could barely breathe.
"Ms. Amelia, you're the daughter of the affluent Thompson family, and everyone knows about the decades-long friendship
between the Thompsons and the Iversons. Forced by Charles? I doubt even he would dare."
Hunter turned the hospital room into a courtroom, forgetting the pitiful sight of being knocked down himself.
"You were alone with him in the same room at the party. But when the scandal broke, your Thompson family blamed the
Iversons. You knew you were tainted, and it would be hard for you to find someone decent to marry. Is that why you decided on
Steven as your backup plan? You are treating him like a fool."
"Bastard!" Steven lost his temper completely, his eyes bloodshot as he swung his fist at Hunter, landing a brutal blow on the
latter's face. In an instant, Hunter's face was distorted.
Their parents gasped in horror. "Steve! Stop!"
"Ugh!" Hunter saw stars, his head already aching from the diagnosed concussion. The next moment, he tasted blood in his
mouth and spat forcefully onto the ground, only to hear a sharp crack. A tooth had fallen out of his mouth!
It was evident that Steven put all his pent-up rage into that punch, aiming to kill him.
Amelia panicked, covering her mouth with both hands. She knew that Steven was completely consumed by anger. Although he
was doing it all for her, this would only lead to bigger trouble.
Just as Steven was about to strike again, Chelsea suddenly rushed forward and grabbed his arm, crying hysterically.
"How dare you lay a hand on your own brother?! You've gone completely mad for this woman! Hit me, then! Just kill me! You
don't want me as your mother anyway!"
Steven gasped for breath, his eyes filled with tears of anger and resentment.
Steven thought, 'Why... was it so difficult to love someone? Amelia is such a good person. Why did they have to look down on
Amelia and hurt her over and over again?'
"You've all gone too far! Bullying a young girl like this... When did the Lovett family's integrity fall to such depths?!" Amid the
tense atmosphere, a voice filled with indignation interrupted them. Hunter glanced coldly in that direction while holding his face,

and Chelsea stopped wailing. The sound of brisk footsteps shattered the oppressive silence as Clarence walked in, his voice full
of anger.
"Clarence..." Steven looked at Clarence, his voice hoarse.
Clarence looked meaningfully at his brother, then glanced at Amelia, whose face was pale with fear. He felt both bitter and guilty.
In fact, he had been standing outside the door for a while and knew everything that had happened in the hospital room.
"Mom, how much longer are you going to remain blind?!" Clarence shook his head with cold eyes.
"If your so-called love for your son means tearing apart his happiness with your own hands and hurting the one he loves, then
your maternal love is truly disappointing!"
