Chapter 150
“What’s wrong?” Miller called out from a distance, concern lacing his voice. “Feeling under the weather?”
The rigging was tight, squeezing the breath out of Natalle. Her body ached, her heart pounded, and a wave of darkness
threatened to engulf her vision. She couldn’t speak, only managing to shake her head in response.
“Get her down, now!” Rosie, sensing that something was amiss, commanded the crew urgently. She suspected it might be
because Natalie hadn’t properly recovered from her recent injuries.
When Brian entered the studio, the sight that greeted him was a huddle of people around Natalie, who was being lowered from
the rigging. Her head was tilted at an awkward angle, pain etched across her face.
“Natalie?” Rosie was at the forefront, gently tugging on her sleeve. “Are you alright? Say something, you’re scaring me!”
No response came from Natalie.
“She’s passed out!” Rosie exclaimed with a panic–stricken voice.
The group fumbled to remove the restrictive harness from Natalie. Just as Rosie steadied her. she felt a forceful shove from the
side.
Knocked off her feet, Rosie landed with a thud on the ground, watching as a man, frantic with worry, scooped Natalie up in his
arms without a word and strode out of the studio.
Confused glances were exchanged among the bystanders. Miller was the first to snap out of it. chasing after Brian. “Mr.
Howard...”

Some of the actors turned to Rosie with puzzled looks, whispering, “What’s the deal?”
Disoriented, Rosie picked herself up and managed to reply, “Oh, friends, Mr. Howard is a friend of my cousin, so...” Even as she
said it, she knew her explanation fell flat.
Brian and Natalie? She had been by Natalie’s side for a month and hadn’t picked up on any hint of their relationship.
From the edge of the crowd, Arlen stared, dumbstruck, as Brian’s figure receded in the distance.
Brian’s reaction suggested a special bond with Natalie. So the rumors about Natalie being supported by a mysterious benefactor
were true after all. Arlen had always believed in Natalie’s integrity, thinking others were slandering her. He was wrong and
Natalie wasn’t who he thought she was.
Barely conscious, Natalie felt herself being gently held. A mix of sounds clouded her senses.
“I’m fine... just need to rest for a bit...” she mumbled weakly, her eyes shut, shaking her head.
Chapter 150
Someone cursed nearby, but her ears were ringing too loudly to catch the words.
Time passed, voices became hushed, and the dizziness and nausea started to abate.
She managed to open her eyes and realized she was lying in someone’s arms, staining their clothes.

“I’m sorry...” She tried to wriggle out of the embrace, whispering an apology, “I’ll get it dry–cleaned for you...”
Seconds later, Brian’s voice, laced with anger, came from above her. “Why didn’t you say you were feeling unwell earlier?”
Only then did Natalie realize that the person holding her was Brian.
“Shouldn’t he be with Madelyn? What was he doing at the Film Studio?” Thinking so, she stiffened involuntarily, remaining silent.
“What exactly is making you feel unwell?” Brian, frustrated by her silence, pressed her with a stern voice.
Natalie couldn’t pinpoint the discomfort. It was just an overwhelming sense of vertigo and pain. Attempting to move, she felt a
sharp pain radiate from her back, causing her vision to blur and her breath to catch.
Brian noticed her distress and quickly rolled up the divider between the front and back seats of the car, gently turning Natalie
over to inspect her back.
“Don’t...” she instinctively resisted his touch.
