The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 1117
If Thalassa wasn’t the one who spiked the wine, then why, knowing full well that he was in misery, his body nearly consumed by
an internal inferno, did she choose to bolt from the hotel, leaving the door wide open for Susan to swoop in?
It didn’t take long for Lysander to come up with an answer- she had likely taken advantage of his discomfort, running off with the
children while he was unable to intervene!
How desperate was she to get away from him that she’d exploit his condition, occupy his time, and even plant other women in
his path?
Susan, hearing Thalassa bring up that day at the hotel and the threat of being drugged, felt a shiver of dread. Her eyes flickered
anxiously towards Lysander, terrified he might learn that she was the one who had tampered with his drink, and that he’d unleash
his fury upon her.
She quickly changed the subject. “You don’t want the drink, huh? Well, never mind then, I’ll have it myself.”
With a sense of urgency, Susan plunged the straw into her juice glass and took several vigorous sips, swallowing with
exaggerated gulps to prove the juice was fine.
Thalassa eyed Susan’s heavily made-up face. It was so pristine, showing no signs of the slaps she had delivered just the day
before.
Her face should have been swollen from the force of the blows.
How could it be that overnight, Susan’s face looked as if nothing had happened?

Had she used some secret trick to quickly reduce the swelling?
To worm her way back to Lysander’s side, Susan clearly went to great lengths.
In contrast, Lucy’s face was still puffy from just a couple of slaps, looking like a boiled ham hock.
“Susan, we’re discussing business with Mr. Ethan here. We’re thinking of using the two hundred grand you gave us to buy
shares in the Crawley Group. Why don’t you sit down and take a look at the materials?”
Bruce had observed the entire scene-how Susan tried to ingratiate herself with Lysander, and how Lysander brushed her off. He
saw Susan’s humiliation but felt powerless to express his anger, speaking up just in time to spare her any further
embarrassment.
“Oh, investing in the Crawley Group, huh? How’s that looking?” Susan feigned interest, turned around, and took a seat by Lucy,
barely glancing at Lucy’s puffy face, devoid of any
concern.
No need to ask; Susan knew it must have been the consequence of Lucy’s run-in with

Chapter 1117
Lysander,
Her own face had experienced similar swelling after Thalassa’s slaps the day before, but she had iced it down quickly. Today, the
marks still lingered on her face but remained concealed beneath layers of foundation.

Thalassa watched as Susan flipped through the papers, and a remark from Bruce suddenly clued her in on the origin of the two
hundred thousand dollars.
It was Susan’s money. Susan, just a small-time model with expensive tastes-a single handbag costing tens of thousands-didn’t
make enough to cover her expenses.
Where did she get two hundred thousand dollars for Bruce to play the stock market?
Could it be Lysander’s doing, a payoff after a night together?
As Thalassa pondered this, her gaze drifted involuntarily to Lysander.
At that moment, Lysander’s deep, piercing eyes met hers, and in that instant of eye contact, Thalassa thought of the intimate
encounter between him and Susan and the subsequent payoff. Her heart clenched, her breathing quickened, and she
instinctively bit down on her teeth.
Her look, filled with annoyance, broke away from his gaze.
“Mr. Ethan, if we’re done for today, I’ll be heading out,” Thalassa said to Ethan, eager to leave.
